PCM rollback for 6 speed
Well after a lovely pile of work on my truck (new heads and ARP studs, injectors, etc) My FICM (previously remote flashed) is going downhill. Drops below 40 volts on cold start. So I picked up a reman Alliant power unit (downtime a problem with this truck) and am trying to decide if there would be an advantage to getting my PCM rolled back as well. I am VXAP1A4 TQAT0QA. I can run the new FICM until I can get it remote reflashed because Alliant flashes them with the latest when they rebuild them. If there was no advantage to the PCM rollback, I'd just send the new FICM down and get it done sooner than waiting for remote. I'm just not sure if there was any advantage being I have the 6 speed manual. Let me know what you think.
Thanks! |
I'll ask the boss and cody.

Ok, thanks. I went ahead, put the new FICM in and ordered remote programming because I didn't want to damage my new injectors. We can figure out what to do in the mean time while I wait :D Truck runs pretty good, just not PHP good :thumbs up yellow:
