So at what point did the minotaur and Bill actually become one? The minotaur is just the minotaur. Bill's the groovy dude in MY avatar.

When I drew the minotaur, I wasn't actually thinking of Bill at all. He just uses it as his avatar because he likes it so much. When it was finally tweaked to what it looks like now (Wil suggested the tattoo BTW), Bill told me, "Now THAT'S bada$$," and immediately started using it on different forums as his avatar.
