Thought I'd rate my CAI and update it in a few days after the filter swap.
I purchased an S&B CAI for my 04 4.6L back in 05 (back before the price hike, got it for $135 + shipping). I've loved it no doubt ever since I first put it on. I'd get into the fuel economy, performance gains like "other" forums everyone boasts or bashes on, but I'm going to cover that more in another more lengthy post.
The only thing I'd have to say I don't like about it is the "wet" filter. I'm contemplating swapping out for a Green Filter (
www.greenfilterusa.com ) per Bill's recommendation, I like that they offer in a cotton filter, rather than the gauze type. I'm looking into dry filters also. I'll let you know what I swap out for when and if, not sure anyone makes a "drop in" for the S&B intake kit, at least not looking at their tech specs.
