One though on your EGT arrangement. Keep in mind that thermocouples are EXTREMELY sensitive (working on microvolts) and any change in resistance in the circuit can cause a change in output. Gauges are calibrated with the length of the leads in consideration and even the type of metal used for the connections. Even if you don't change the length, adding a switch or even another set of connections can skew the EGT readings of the gauge significantly.
Just wanted you to be aware.
