Default New Member I got a few ?'s

I have a 2005 ford f150 5.4 triton v8 i have custom bent exhaust with dual striaght pipes from the cat.back and a K&N drop in air filter i just want to know what a chip will do for my truck and would like to know everyone else's experience with power gain and MPG that they gained and if the chip will mess up any warrenties on my turck, and what it will take to get me started.
Thanks, I appreciate any help.

Welcome to the forum! You'd be looking at a Gryphon programmer for your truck (you can't chip trucks after 2003). I'd have to run it past Bill (he's in Washington, so it'll have to wait a day), but I believe you could run the canned tunes with the custom exhaust that you have.

We're glad you're here!

Welcome to the forum!

As Corey stated above chips are not available for your year of truck. Just programmers such as the gryphon.

Rule of thumb for exhaust on these trucks.
Any thing from the cat back to the "y" is ok.
3" max si/so 3"
3" si/do 2.25 or 2.5
Above options preferable with muffler.
You can mess around with anything on the exhaust except for long tube headers they need a tune or going over the sizes listed above.
Don't remove the cats either if you want replace them with high flow ones.

Welcome to the forum!

Your exhaust will work with canned tunes, like stated above.
