I plugged my new gryphon in as instructed, but it will not boot and display the hex code. Tried again, same result. What to do?

Default gryphon won't boot

I forgot to mention, my 06 f150 is 5.4 L 4x4, and should never have had any programming mods yet. All mods so far are K&N cai and flowmaster force II.

It sounds like you screen is just remaining dark? If so, it is probable that your cigarette lighter fuse is blown. An easy test is to see if the cigarette lighter works. If not, replace the fuse. It powers the OBDII port too.

Clap gryphon not booting

That Worked! If I'd tried using it for lighting that cigar I've been saving for my little retirement celebration (tomorrow), I'd have known that.

Happy retirement! I did that about 5 years ago and have not missed work one bit. And, I'm glad it was just a simple fix, too, for the problem you were having.
