A Very Satisfied Owner

Hi All

Just thought I'd post my experience with the Gryphon. I'm running a stock 2006 5.4L Lariat that just turned 28Kmi. I added an AirForce1 CAI just after I purchased the truck. I live on theOregon coast so a canopy is a must. It weighs about 400lbs which doesn't help performance or mileage. After receiving my Gryphon and I waiting for the tunes, I logged the 0-60, 1/4mile, mileage, engine temperatures (heads Oil, trans, etc.) and other items over a period of 4 months. Being an engineer this is what I do so I was curious what changes the tunes would make. Wow, first thing I noticed from the 85 performance tune was the crisp shifting; this truck was acting like a manual! Then after 100 miles I went out and did 0-60, 1/4 mile runs. They were 1.5-2 sec faster on the 0-60 and the 1/4 mile runs were at least 2 seconds faster with a much better terminal speed. This depends a lot on how I launch. The thing that gets me is this truck is getting 1.7-2.5 mpg more on my daily commute. I've even gotten it up over 20mpg on a recent trip. I really like the way the engine shuts down when I lift. There is none of that forced air delay you experience with typical automatics. No appreciable increases in the monitored temps on the meters from the base lines. All I can say is I'm a very satisfied customer. Sorry for the long description but I hope this helps those contemplating a purchase.

The longer the description, the better. It's awesome to hear about what Bill is able to do with these trucks and stories like yours make his products sell themselves.

He'll be happy to read your praises!
