Default ?? about Gryphon and Pegasus..

Ok, i am a neebie, please don't shoot! I just got my Gryphon a few weeks ago, waiting for my custom tunes 87 perf/91 perf. I just downloaded the Pegasus software. Now, to check for updates, do i need to return my Gryphon to stock, or can i simply unplug it from the truck, bring it inside, and plug in to the computer and let it search? Sorry if this is a rookie question..

Good on you, Uncle! I'll pay attention to you all I want!

I've found through experimentation that there's no need to return the Gryphon to stock before connecting it to a PC to "register" it. And then, to check the status, you don't even have to have the Gryphon connected.

But, to load tunes, you WILL have to have the Gryphon at stock.

Glad to have you with us Uncle.

Thanks JackandJanet! I am a regular user over on F150ONLINE forum, wandered over here maybe a year ago and finally ponied up for a Gryphon last month. Lot's of friendly smiling faces here and over there...
