Question need some help on type of equipment i need

Hello all,

I am in the market for a programmer and a gauge pack.
I am looking at a edge insight and sct tuner.

What I have,
2004 F350 dually CC longbed 2wd automatic 6.0 diesel.
With about 140k on the clock.

Current mods,
MBRP turbo back cat delete 4" exhaust
liberator performance oil cooler relocate
Liberator performance egr delete.
Dieselsite coolant filter
Amsoil bypass filter.
2006 ford factory turbo. (Original one had a bad unision ring got this one cheap)

What I am taking off,
Quadzilla xzillerator and commander. Why you ask
I do not like it at all. I have had several problems with it and the commander
Looks like crap compared to an insight.

For a long time I have notice a horrible lack of power and really really bad fuel economy.
After reading this forum I noe realize it has to be the last flash I had from a trip to the dealer.

Future mods
Banks inter cooler kit
Head studs
Blue spring mod.

What I would like to know
Does the insight/gryphon control the transmission like a SCT?
Does the insight up load a program like sct or is it like a quadzilla and change on the fly
The ficm programmer, does it only do the ficm or can it do the ecm also?
If it doesn't is there a programmer that does or do you have to sent it in also?
I am looking at getting some of this stuff by the 20th so I am rely interested in the options available to me.
I am 40 y/o so as fun as it sounds and lack of head studs at the moment I am not looking for a 140 race tune. Lol
I tow a 6500# camper and am upgrading to a 5th wheel within the year
so a tow and economy DD tunes are what I am looking for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One last thing I have tried calling within the hours list on the website.
And I have been lurking on the forum for a little bit. So I am a little nervous on the "hard to reach" aspect of PHP. That being said what I have heard about the tunes and quality of the work I am still looking at a purchase.
Also if I am missing something or going in the wrong direction please speak up I am not someone who can't take advice.

Thanks
James

I think you're best bet would be to buy the Gryphon CS/CTS with custom FICM tunes with the ECM rollbacks, and use the SCT for custom tunes to help the transmission. The Gryphon CS/CTS can still be used as a monitoring unit, also.

What is the difference on the gryphon and sct? Both are programmers so wouldn't it be better to get a insight for monitoring and the sct to program? I am not trying to be argumentative I really am trying to understand what product does what and how. Now if ficm/ecm tuning is not available on a sct then I understand. Is this the case?

It's not available on the SCT. SCT tunes your PCM.
