Default Custom Tunes Loaded

How long should I wait before I try to tweak the settings?

I need to update the tire size & I want to bump up the idle rpms as well.

I want to ride with it for a few days, but she doesn't seem as peppy as she was with the canned tunes loaded.

With the canned 93 tune I could barely tap the gas & she would jump

I put her in drive with the custom 93 & she feels like she can barely move herself when I let off the gas.

I honestly don't think you can do anything to "tweak" settings that will give you back what you're missing. Sadly, I think this is something you need to talk to Bill about.

The "nervous Nellie" feel you got from the canned tune was likely an artifact of the adaptive learning not being used to the new (canned) tune. Bill will set things up differently, based on what you told him you wanted. Does the truck "jump" if you put the hammer down? Is the shifting smooth and crisp? Does it downshift quickly on demand and is your passing power good? These are the things I'd look for in a good tune, not the "twitchy", over sensitive throttle feeling from a dead stop.

Look at those other parameters and then talk to Bill if you don't like what you have.

Now that you've entered a tune, you can go back and re-enter it again, this time changing your tire size, idle rpm, whatever. There's no need to wait. PLEASE, read my Q & A on the Custom Options menu in this forum before you do this and make sure you understand what I'm saying.
