Help Tire size and Gear Question

Just received my brand new Gryphon a few minutes ago and getting ready to get going but I've got a question? I do not have custom tunes as of yet. Do I need to enter tire size and gear values, are these preset already or just plug and play? Thanks in advance for any help.

It should be plug and play, it is recommended to not customize any tunes the first time you use them, but after they are installed and work, you can reinstall them with the customizations, no need to revert back to stock to do it. and congratz! I'm sure you will love it!

Haha, don't expect quick responses like that all the time, Most of the people with the real answers aren't here today, they are doing an event in georgia this weekend, a track day tonight and a dyno day tomorrow. Info is on the main page, Power Hungry Performance - Feed your hunger for POWER!, I'm too far away to go, plus since I actually knew this answer so I thought I would answer it for ya .
What kind of truck do you have?

Its a 2008 F150 5.4l SuperCrew 60th Aniversary Edition. My current mods are a Roush CAI and original cat back true duals 2.5" and of course now the one and only Gryphon. I really like what Ive been reading about the Gryphon. I am just hoping that I don't have any troubles with the #2 canned tow tune since I have a CAI. I plan for a custom tune ASAP. I mean when the wifey lets me.

Your 2008 isnt going to have as much of a lean issue as the 2004s did with CAI's, and the tow tune should work great until you get your custom tunes. and yeah, I think we all understand the wifey inputs... shoot if I were still single I would have a lift kit and a supercharger on my 150 that I sold... but I needed a bigger truck, so I got a 250, and I am not complaining . but... we did get a mustang so I think I am covered in the fun car category

and just an FYI, once you get your hex code, put it into your user profile along with the forum area so that once you buy the custom tunes, they have all the info you need

Thanks for the info on the CAI, I'm glad to know there shouldn't be any issues. If it's not to much trouble I'd like to ask 1 more question. Are there any instructions to properly mounting the pod? It looks as if you just kinda snap it in place then mount the metal brkt to the inside with the 2 sided tape.
