Default Sleek, factory looking TS Chip install....

My biggest problem with the TS Chip before purchase was that I didnt like how I had seen it mounted. It just seemed to stick out like a sore thumb in the dash. People called me crazy, but I wanted a sleek factory look.

I used my thinker today, and found it a home.

Delete plug from cigarette lighter from rear of 08 console... (I have a 12v for it that I bought a few weeks ago. Now I can install it)

Plug test fit in front seat cigarette lighter. Perfect.

Final product...

It looks great, fits great, feels great! It is within comfortable arm reach, and best of all, outside the view of pesky SMOG techs

I had to trim about 1/4 inch of the black sleeve off of the dial so enough threads would fit past the surface of the delete plug. The OD of the plug and the OD of the sleeve were exactly the same. No biggie.

Oh, and just be careful about the little selector locking ring. Apparently the switch is like a 13 position dial or something, but this ring locks it at 6 (or where ever you set it.) I didnt want to find out if I tried to start in position 10 so I put the ring back

Never seen that done before, pretty cool.

You ever find a good use of that scanner? Thought about buying one myself, but didn't know if it would be worth it.

Its on pretty much every day. I like to know whats going on around me.

I know where just about all of the stations in the county are. If I am right next to one when a call goes out, I'm not going to do anything. But if a call goes out near me, and I know that the next in unit is going to be a while..... I have a fully stocked bag in my back seat - depending on the call. I'm not gonna go jump in on a "headache" or "sick person" ... but if someone is coding down the street and the next in engine or ambulance is 10 minutes out... You bet your *** I'm gonna go crack some ribs.

But actually... I've only ever jumped one call.. and I was the RP. The scanner didnt have anything to do with it.

Go back to class. Its not 32 lol. Its 30.

Maybe you heard wrong? They often say "30 to 2" meaning 30 compression then 2 breaths lol. Sounds like "32"

Fun fact: During 100% PERFECT CPR (only obtainable by a machine) blood pressure is only 15/0.

AHA has started "Hands-Only CPR" for the lay-responder. I think for anyone with medical training at EMT-B or higher, we will always be providing respirations via BVM.
