Yes, there is a little play. The fins do not appear to be bent or damaged. The truck had a k&n on it for at least 60,000mi. I put the tymar on it when I discovered how bad they are for a diesel. Not having seen a new wheel, I have no reference if it is "dusted".

I'm not familiar with the OBS's, but if you can't find any boost leaks and your only making about 10-12 lbs. of boost, do you think your wastegate is opening up to early or do the OBS have a wastegate since there a bigger exhaust housing then the SD's?
My other truck I had, the wastegate was weak and wouldn't only make about 5 to 7 lbs. less boost then should of b/c of the it opening. Wouldn't it get hot if it opened to soon and ran there?

The 10-12# of boost was while towing the trailer and the rpm was about 2500. Under no-load conditions WOT, I can hit almost 25psi. Under those conditions, short bursts, not sure what the egt's were.

What was the max boost you saw while towing?

I don't remember what it hit when it downshifted, but I'm sure it went over 15.
