I really like the idea of being able to throw 91 in it when I want to take it out and get it dirty, just to have a few more ponies to play with.

As far as choosing octane goes, I run Sunoco in my supercharged Mustang at the track even though it's only canned-tuned for 91 because I like the little bit of extra "cushion" it gives preventing detonation when I'm hot-lapping. Sure, I'm not using all that octane for more power and I know I could probably get better timeslips by running the fuel it's tuned for, but until I get it on a dyno this spring for a real tune, I use higher octane fuel as my crutch.
I wish 89 was cheaper then 87everywhere. Welcome to the boards!!

Eh...too cold to justify moving for gas! I usually average 11 mpg combination in the winter because of the -30* temps (not wind chill...) we've seen pretty much non-stop since December. Thanks for the welcomes!

Same here. Im just a hope skip and a jump west of you in montana. I run 91 octane all the time. Even when gass was $4 a gal. I do a lot of highway driving and i found that i got almost another 2 MPG better on 91 and i had more power when it came to the hills. So i demed it worth it. And now that its only another $3 to fill up with 91 instead of 87 its easier to justify
