Throttle Body Spacer

Just curious i own one of the airade throttle body spacers for my truck and took it off thinking it was causing my truck to studder at idle, little did i know it was my iac valve. I never put it back on just because i never saw a difference with it, I was curious with a custom tune will it work then? thanks

It will work, but it will not improve your performance. Those things were designed back in the days of carburated engines, and they were said to provide modest gains then, but now with fuel injection, they basically do nothing.

You can use it as a doorstop or a desk decoration though.

As far as I know, it is. I think only the 2004-2005 3V 5.4L engines have the "lean" problem.

You want to talk shame? Back in the 70s, I bought one of those "fuel atomizer" thingies that you spliced into the gas line. It kind of had the same "do nothing" (but lighten my wallet) results! :o

After many months after taking out my throttle body spacer i believe i may have been wrong. My gas mileage used to sit around 18 with the spacer now i am only getting 16 =( or could it just be something else could be causing problems?
