Default Making a 'Dyno Tune' ?'s...

We have a dayno day coming up next weekend and I have some tunes I'd like to lock the OD so it won't downshift on the dyno. This particular dyno has a hell of a time loading Fords and although we always try for OD Fords always seem to downshift and we can never get good runs.

Is this straight forward enough for me to do with Minotaur?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Under "Parameters"

"Converter test switch" Change to "1"
"Converter Duty Cycle test value" to "100%"

"Transmission Test Gear Select" to "4"
"Transmission Test Switch" to "1"

These two will be the most important because they will lock the torque converter clutch and hold the transmission in 4th gear.

Obviously, you'll want to put it in this program only when ready to hit the green button and go full-on.

I do see "Switch to Manually Lock Torque Converter", changed that to "1".

"Transmission Test Gear Select" was already at "4"
"Transmission Test Switch" I set to "1".

I cannot find "Converter Duty Cycle test value" anywhere...
In fact, the only % values I see are for ICP...

Thanks for the tips.

You must be dyno-ing an OBS truck. You're right, there is no duty cycle percentage for the torque converter clutch lockup with those trucks because the TCC solenoid and associated valving is a simple on/off setup. If it's still not working, I don't know what to suggest since that would be the most logical step to take.......I've not had a need to do anything like that yet.

Yes, OBS.
So should I try this tune on the street? Get to OD then switch to dyno tune and jump on it to see if it stays locked?

You could even do it at 30 MPH if you wanted....

That's exactly how I'd do it. If it wasn't 20 degrees outside and snowing, I'd probably be out there trying it myself.

See Lars, the problem is that I haven't gotten myself acclimated yet. Heck, it's supposed to be 60 degrees by next weekend again. If I spend too much time outside right now I'll be miserable by then because I will be hot.

Acclimated?
Or Accustomed to?

With all the vehicles in the ditches this morning, I was glad I got up early!
