I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm a new member. I back from a previous deployment overseas. I own a 06 Ford 150 Lariat 4x4. I wanting to increase the performance and throttle response, so i just ordered a AF1 CAI and Gryphon programmer. I can't wait to try them out.

I do have some questions, I was getting 16-18 MPG on the highway, but I stop and fueled up at my Father's farm tank and ever since then my fuel mileage has gone downhill. I have tried every type of injection cleaner but it doesn't seem to help. Plus, if I step hard into the throttle it hesitates. This is one of the reasons that I want to install what I brought. Any suggestions, Please

to the forum! As far as your mileage goes, I can only say that our mileage has tanked (no pun intended!) from time to time when we've gotten some less than great fuel, and with the winter blend at most stations, we've lost about 2 mpg. I'm sure some other members (Bill, too!) will pop in here with their two cents.

We're glad you joined! We've got some really AWESOME members, and it's a fun place to spend some time.

OH and thank you so much for your service! I'm glad you're back home safely.

X2 Welcome to the forum, the winter blend fuel generally sucks on gas mileage, and like stated earlier you could have got some bad gas.

Welcome back to the land where loud noises don't make you duck, and thanks for your time deployed, Brother!

Before you gt too carried away with the CAI, you MAY want to read this thread: http://dygytalworld.ehost-services13...read.php?t=340 Bill has stated more than once that the commercial CAIs may not really give you what they're worth, and this is a REALLY cheap alternative - that won't make your engine run lean.

I'm sure the Gryphon can help/cure the throttle hesitation problem, but I don't know why you'd still be having problems from a possibly bad tank of gas? I'm more in the camp of "winter" blends causing your dropoff in mileage. Be interesting to see what Bill has to say, when he surfaces.

Thanks for the info and link. I wish that I would have found out about this before I bid on the CAI. I'm new to the forum world.

Thanks again,

Chief
