I'm not really sure on the voltage but I do remember it being higher than the regular 12 volts. I dunno, lets just not have all of our headlights on with the radio blaring, jump starting another vehicle while blow drying our hair from a power inverter and reprogramming at the same time.

Thanks everybody. My mind's made up. As soon as Ford gives me a reliable delivery date for my new truck, I'll be ordering one.

The dealer has told me that my order has been "picked up" by Ford, but until I have a VIN and a build date, I'm sitting on my wallet.

With regard to the power issues, should I worry about pulling any fuses?

Doesn't it suck to have to wait?

I didn't pull any fuses on my 09, but I don't have electric fans. As Jack stated if your engine is cool, the fans shouldn't be running and won't be a draw on your battery.

I dont think you need to pull any fuses unless there are things running that you can't shut off. Programming while the engine compartment is cool would probably be better anyway.
