Default new larger tires new program?

Hi all, i just got new bfg 315/70/17's and was curious if i should now go with new tunes? I see there is a tire size input on the Gryphon monochrome...but not sure what to set this at. Can anyone help?

No, you don't need new tunes. Just reenter your current tune and then, in Custom Options, set the Tire Size (TS) to 2659mm as a starting point. You'll also need to check and possibly reset your Gear Ratio (GR) to whatever gearing you have in your truck (it's on the VIN label).

Set your Gryphon to show vehicle speed and compare it to something you know is accurate, like a GPS. If they match, you're done. If the Gryphon speed is slower than the GPS, increase the TS. Do the opposite if the Gryphon speed is slower.

The dash speed will normally read 2-3 mph faster than the Gryphon speed in the 70 mph range and that is normal. The odometer will be correct though, if the Gryphon speed is correct.
