Default how do i tell the dealer "do not reflash.." ?

I noticed a slow oil drip from the transfer casing today. So i scheduled to bring truck into dealer on monday where it should be a routine warranty repair. I dont know why its dripping and there is no performance changes noted in driving. Sunday i will reset truck back to stock and remove the lovely gryphon and cable.

so..
1. for a repair of this nature, is it unlikely they will need to reflash my truck?
2. if they say they do need to.. how can i say "no" to that ? -
A). if they need to reflash then they need to reflash, right?
B). saying "do not reflash" is the same as saying "I have an aftermarket programmer".
3. is it possible they will see the code that tells them a programmer was present, and then on that basis deny warranty service by trying to blame everything on the programmer?

It CAN be a bit "sticky", when the truck is under warranty.

I'd probably just trust that they wouldn't do a reflash in this instance.

Another approach would be to tell them that the truck performs beautifully the way it is, and if there's a TSB calling for a reflash for any reason, you'd like to know what it's for BEFORE they do it.

Put it back to stock now if your worried about it.
and drive it in stock up until after your truck is fixed.
Just tell them to ask you if anything needs to be done to the PCM as far as TSB's go.
A leak shouldn't trigger any PCM checking.

This is just for curiousity's sake. If the dealer did reflash the vehicle. How would I be able to know this?

I'm pretty sure your hex code will change and you won't be able to load any of your custom tunes.

I don't know if it affects 'canned' tunes. 88 or Jack will know though!

Use the gryphon's diagnostic menu.

Also if you have custom tunes the gryphon will throw an error.

If your unit has ANY custom tune, it probably will not accept any advanced tune (canned or custom) after a dealer reflash. If the unit is still holding only the canned tunes, because you're waiting on a custom tune, then it should function normally - BUT, You must make sure that PHP knows your new hex code if you are waiting for custom tunes! If Bill does not have the new hex code, your custom tunes will not work and he'll have to completely rewrite them at another "tune cost" to you.

And, shotgun, you were correct, the hex code changes after a dealer flash.
