Default Question about FICM tuning

I currently already have a Gryphon Evolution with the canned tunes, and I was wanting to order some custom tunes for it. Now, I see I can use it as an FICM tuner. My question is this, would it be more beneficial to use it to tune the FICM, or just get custom tunes and keep it as a programmer/monitor? If it would be more beneficial to just use it to tune the FICM, and maybe get a handheld SCT unit with tunes, I would rather do it. Also, I saw on the website that if you have the PHP Gryphon, they can program the FICM's remotely. How much would that cost, and how long would that take? Thanks so much.

Which gryphon did you buy? You have to have the old mono chrome display unit for it to work as a ficm tuner. That is the first thing we need to know.

If it is, I'd use it for the ficm program. Program the truck, and if you decide you want more control, like egr delete, then you can change it back get custom tune for it, or buy an SCT and leave it as a FICM tuner only.
