The Conversation Pit This is where EVERYTHING else goes. No subject is too mundane. How's the weather in your area? Did your kid cut his first tooth? Really, what do you think about the President? And don't get me started on Cummins and Duramaxes. Have at it!

Default New pets

Gotta love a trip where you're out for one thing and come back with a bonus. Went to my po' boy's pet store (the river) to get me a small pleco for my 50 gallon tank. I'm having an algae problem right now and nothing cleans like a hungry pleco. This would probably be a $20 fish in a pet store.

But before I caught that little guy, I saw this and couldn't pass it up. It is called a freshwater prawn. It is related to shrimp and crayfish. I didn't measure it but it is probably about 10 inches in just body. The claws easily add another 4-6 inches.

Groovy! We got three fish (help me out, Cody!) to put in the pool last spring to eat up all the tadpoles. They were gone in no time!

I don't remember what they were called.....big white goldfish lookin' things.

They are tadpole eating machines though.
