If I ever have a chance to find them. I am going to do a head swap for some 2008.5 heads. They are redesigned with longer threads and the plugs don't have the carbon collecting heat shields on them anymore.

Here is some pics of new style heads with plugs. Courtesy of drtriton on f150 online. The key in 2008 models is if you have the brown plug boot, you have the new style head. Black boot is the old style plug and head.

These pics are from a 4.6 mustang. From research the brown boot is also on the 5.4.
