Default Questions on my shifting patterns

I have my goodies all installed consisting of the following:

4" MBRP turbo back system
Gryphon CTS with a custom heavy tow program being created (tunning level 2, 80HP tune)
AFE Stage II CAI
BTS valve body

When driving at a normal pace, I am going from 2nd gear into a locked 3rd gear.

Is this normal? I am waiting to talk to Brian at BTS to find out what I should expect.

What trans controls are in the Gryphon? I understand that it does manage it also, just wanting to know if I need more of a custom tune for my truck now.

Thanks in advance,
Mike
