The Conversation Pit This is where EVERYTHING else goes. No subject is too mundane. How's the weather in your area? Did your kid cut his first tooth? Really, what do you think about the President? And don't get me started on Cummins and Duramaxes. Have at it!

Default Is it summer YET?

I am getting sick of THIS:

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...0&unit=0&lg=en

Ugh.

I guess it's better than the last dozen years where we were already on fire by now due to no moisture. It's wet here.....wetter than it has been in over a decade. We had 8 inches of accumulation last week at this time.

Heck No!

Central SD is still shut down. NE SD is still shut down. Parts of MN+ND that border SD still shut down. One big snow storm from one end of the state to the other. We were spared with just a dusting and rain. I just would like to see spring!

I drove through ND a day before the roads shut down. How lucky was that? I was going to Michigan. My mother in law called and said I was going to have to find a different route home.

Very Lucky!
The one advantage you have is that this snow won't stick around long.
Maybe come back on I-90 or I-80 but I-80 might be to far south.

Yeah, I had to come back on I-80 through IA, NE, and WY. Then I got back to the MT border and the typical 1.5 hour trip from Sheridan, WY took me 4 hours. White-out conditions and blowing snow....with the typical icepack had me down to 15-20 MPH. The last hill before dropping down into Billings claimed a few OTR trucks....they got stuck trying to climb it so we ended up waiting until they got chained up.

You guys think you have it rough? Well, let me tell you my sad little tale: Janet's had me out in the yard digging trenches to install more drip irrigation for all the new plants she decided she just had to have. C'mon, swinging a pick and digging with a shovel in 70 degree, sunny weather just beats anything you guys are going through for pure agony!
