The Conversation Pit This is where EVERYTHING else goes. No subject is too mundane. How's the weather in your area? Did your kid cut his first tooth? Really, what do you think about the President? And don't get me started on Cummins and Duramaxes. Have at it!

Unfortunately, we didn't set this one up, so it didn't go as well as it should have. Everyone involved meant well, though, and luckily, Bean's is not that far away from us.

Four trucks were scheduled.

One didn't show up.

One showed up but had a broken injector and couldn't be tuned.

One showed up and I don't remember what happened to cut the tuning short.

One showed up and got tuned!

So we will still be sending a check to Tony -- it's far less than we had hoped, but we're hoping to do more at a later date. Tomorrow or Wednesday, we're shaving Wil's head to support Morgan!

Don't know if #2 was a broken injector, mismatched flow rate, or low compression or what... but it definitely had an odd miss in it that simply wasn't going to be tuned out. Buzz test went fine but we couldn't get a cylinder balance test working properly so we couldn't identify which cylinder was causing the problem.

Anyway, I think part of the problem was inadequate promotional time. We only set things up about 10 days before the event so word didn't get out as well as we'd have liked. We are planning another in May though.

Anyway... we had a good time and nobody popped their top.

Take care.
