Default Changed spark plugs

Hey there, did the plugs in my truck 2day. 04 F150 4.6L 74k miles all in all it was pretty easy, took about 1 1/2 hours total after reading threads about the plugs breaking off i was kinda worried but im guessing that issue is on the 5.4L only?
Just figured id share my plug experience lol!

Also hoping to get my gryphon next week had to make sure the plugs were up for the challenge you know?

Yep..it's a 5.4 thing. I think they redesigned the heads on the 5.4 somewhere around 07 to help with that prob. I actually think the breakage prob affects all the 3V engines in the 04-06 range, this includes the v10 also.

Yea it was only on the 5.4's but they actually changed the heads at the end of 07 which means it only took affect on the model year 2008 trucks. But good job on getting them changed anyways.

Good on you, Jon!

I keep hoping Motorcraft will come up with a one-piece plug before I change mine. I really don't want to put two-piece plugs back in.

I did my plugs 3 weeks ago. I bought the Lisle special tool before I started. Broke the last plug. What a great tool! It worked so sweet!
