Upgrade your Evo Upgrade your Edge Evolution to a Gryphon Programmer to allow for custom tuning and additional functionality.

Due to issues with the cable failures due to incompatible versions of firmware, we do not offer upgrades
or tuning for the 1997-2003 F-Series gas or 7.3L diesel trucks. We recommend using another platform.

I plan on using the 89 performance for my daily driving. Towing right now mind you is in 3rd gear running about 60-65 down the highway is usually between 3k -4k rpms, but thats without the dual exhaust and running those new 35's I got, I don't suppose I should regear it do ya? to a 4.10 or 4.56
So you're taking the O/D off? Do you really need to? That is really just used if the truck is hunting for the right gear configuration.
If I do that I think my RPM is just hitting 3k at that speed with the TC locked...I have 30 inch tires with 3.55 gears. I'm going by math and what I usually see cruising around 70 in 4th, funny I was pulling up a grade with over a half ton in stuff earlier and I didn't remember what rpm I saw at the 60ish speeds. Wish I had read the post sooner.
Edit: pulled some info from some data logs and made some estimates. I'd be running around 3100 rpm in 3rd with the TC locked, so my memory isn't too bad.

With 3.73 gears at 35s you should be sitting even lower than I am. Now if the truck already had 4.10 gears you would be just a bit higher than me. Are you 100% sure the truck has stock gears? What axle code do you have in your door jamb?
