V10 Intake/air filter on 5.4
So I've got a 97 expedition with a 99 5.4 swap. When I got the rig it just had a k&n filter and was missin half the filter box. I've been noticing that my iat was always up around 100deg. So last night I dug around and found the parts of the v10 I have and put them on. Well I notices my temps are now the same as outside air temps (70's). It made a difference in power seen as it doesn't kick out of locked 4th gear now on the way to work and the mpg on the same stretch of road went up from 16-19mpg to 20-23mpg. I'm running a canned tow tune right now and need to order my custom tune.

It makes a big difference between engine bay air and outside air.....
