ya gotta love the salt eh???? we mix ours up here at 3% salt to sand...just enough to keep the gravel from sticking together. i couldn't imagine straight salt on the road:omg: just wanted to say how good all those painted/HD lenses look. they are a popular mod and they fit any color truck. here's mine painted along with my tails

thanx, i put them in the oven and separated them. the ones on the tailgate are the before shot. i would have gone darker but was worried about light output. that is plain old krylon gloss black in there. i kinda f'ed up the holes where the bulbs go in..left them in the oven a little too long oh well, nothing a little bit of silicone can't fix.

Of course this spring I will be switching the heads out with my brand new oem HD head lights that are sitting in the basement right now.

Actually, I have the honeycomb grill in the lower section that I got from www.f150store.com for 28 bucks(it's still on just behind the horizontal grill). Is that were you got yours from? Perfect match and installs with clips in about 4 minutes
You're thinking of the Silverstar parking lights. The Stealth bulbs are silver coated, but glow amber when on. They're kind of like mirrored sunglasses. I finally got around to posting a few pictures in my "album". The last shot shows the effect pretty well. No amber look in the daytime. I'd like to get rid of the amber in the running light lenses too, but that's a whole new headlight housing, and right now I've got other things to spend money on.

There are many sources for Stealth bulbs; here's one: http://autolumination.com/3157_3156.htm Look about 3/4 down the page for the 3156 or 3157 Silver Vision bulbs. These are dual- filament Parking/Turn Signal bulbs and they are 3157s. Their prices are good and they ship quickly. I've ordered some LEDs from them and have been happy.

I think I MAY have gotten the honeycomb lower grill from f150store. I know it didn't cost much and went on very easily. I don't think I had it installed when I took that picture. Guess I need to retake it, huh?

Nice work on the headlights Northern! I'd consider Stealth bulbs in your parking light housings too. (I don't have stock in the company - honest! I just don't like the amber look on the front of our trucks).

I've really thought long and hard about painting the inside of my heads black. I finally came to the conclusion that with my color truck and the King Ranch trim, I liked the silver better. But, I think black is the way to go on a white or black truck - no question at all!

Do you have an account on Photobucket? http://photobucket.com/ You can join for free, upload any picture you'd like, edit it to make it small enough and then, in the User CP add an ".IMG" file to your signature.

There may be other, easier ways to do this, but this is what I did to put my truck's picture in my sig. One caution, if you delete the photobucket picture, it goes away in your sig (or any other post that you used it too).

Northern Supercrew did this to post the pictures of his truck in this thread.

I painted my head lights as well.Pretty easy to do and the actual hd ones cost way too much.I did buy the actual HD tail lights though because my trash can jumped out in front of me when I was backing out of the drive way and it cracked the whole tail light. Here is a pic of my powerstroke .Its only got 2inch pro comp leaf springs in the front and 33's on 16x10 welds but it will have a lot more done including lifting by summer.
