Default So Let Me Get This Straight!

If I have 3 custom tunes on my Gryphon, I don't really gain a whole lot by changing the WOT Shifting and Max RPM's? I will only benifit from the Shift Firmness, Gear Ratio and Tire Size according to what my vehicle has? I only ask because I don't want to mess anything up on my truck.

Please enlighten me on this.

Mike

If they are custom tunes then there isn't really any need to change stuff. Bill writes the tunes with better shifting for both regular driving as well as WOT. I can't be sure where he set your WOT points but raising them probably wouldn't be a good idea. I've noticed my rpms can spike at 5600-5700 which isn't very good for the torque converter.
The gear ratio and tire size will be set to whatever size you gave Bill on the order form so there also isn't a need to change them either.
For shift firmness, making it firmer could possible cause problems with joints and stuff after the tranny(including the transmission itself) while softening them too much can cause unnecissary wear on the tranny.
Bill's custom tunes are a quite a bit better than his canned tunes so I would leave the settings how he made them.

Bill also changes AFR tables according to what octane gas you are going to use.
With these changes new cam and engine timing strategies are changed also.
The above fore mentioned can't be changed by the user, only Bill has access to these settings.

So they are truely custom tunes. I did have to go in and change the gear ratio and the the tire size. The gears were done after the custom tunes were downloaded, and the tires size was changed to match gps speed. I know I told Bill that I had 35's on the order form and over the phone.

All in all, I do nothing but brag about my Gryphon every chance I get!

Yep!
They truly are custom tunes.
Especially when they are built off of your trucks hex calibration code.

Glad to hear your enjoying your custom tunes on the gryphon!
