Default OH YEAH

Just ordered my Gryphon and I am so excited about getting it. Really cant wait to get my custom tunes. Got a cpl questions though, I checked the online manual on it but I didnt see these in there, plz excuse me if they seem dumb.

1. Do I need to return it to stock or unplug it when I turn the truck off?

2. I know you arent suppose to prgram it in cold weather, but will it hurt it to leave it in the truck overnight when the weather is cold?

The answer to both questions, is NO. Once you program your truck, the Gryphon is just a monitor. You can take it out of the truck, leave it it, whatever suits you. The truck's computer holds the tune you programmed it to. DO NOT reprogram the truck to stock when you turn the truck off.

You might want to remove the Gryphon if it is VERY cold, say well below 20 F? The screen may have trouble lighting up if it is very cold. (I just found the touch screen in my GPS didn't work either in cold weather). The other reason you might want to remove the Gryphon is if you're afraid it might "sprout legs" and walk away some night while your truck is parked. Keeping it with you stops that from happening.

No, I'm saying: "DO NOT return it to stock!".

And, you never try to change the tune when the truck is running - only when the ignition is ON (engine off).

There are really only a few reasons to return your truck to stock:
1. You are taking your truck to the dealer. Return the truck to stock and remove the Gryphon. If he reflashes the PCM and you have a tune loaded, your Gryphon will not work. Everything will be fine though if he does this with the truck at stock.
2. You send your Gryphon off to Bill for any reason. If he modifies it, your truck's tune needs to be stock.
3. You sell your truck and keep the Gryphon. Never sell a tuned truck to someone without the programmer!
Am I being clear now?
