Default Gear PID doesnt show TC locked

I have my gryphon set to show what gear my truck is in and if the TC is locked or not but the only time it ever shows it is locked is 1st gear. I know my converted is locked going down the highway at 75mph and 1800 rpms in 4th yet it doesnt show it any reason behind this?

No reason at all, and, of course you can hear and feel it lock too, can't you? I doubt there's any way it could be unlocked at those speeds and RPMs. I have no ideas on this - Mad Doctor, where are you?

I agree...with those speeds and rpms theres no way it could be unlocked.

But then again I wish mine only turned 1800 at 75 gas mileage savings.

3.55's and anything larger than stock aren't much of a combination for anyone unless you're running 80 MPH down the highway for hundreds of miles at a time. The biggest problem is simply the weight of the tire and wheel combo. It takes so much more power to get them moving that stop & go traffic is just brutal on economy. At least with highway driving, you don't have to continually try to accelerate the wheels... just maintain momentum.

For what it's worth, on most applications changing from stock to 35" tires usually requires 1 step lower gear (ie. 3.55 -> 3.73, 3.73 -> 4.10, or 4.10 to 4.56) to maintain roughly the same RPM/MPH ratio.

Take care.

The truck doesnt have a problem pulling the tires even with the canned tunes, Im just saying the Gryphon does not show my TC is locked when I know it is.

I'm sorry... I came into this thread in the middle of the conversation and missed the point of the post. I'm not sure why the display isn't showing locked but you can pretty much bet that it is. This is the first complaint I have had on this so I don't where to look at this point.

Is anyone else having this problem??

I have a 2004 Heritage and it never shows the TC lock icon. I figured its just because its a Frankenstein put together from spare parts model though.

Should it show the TC lock?

I would absolutely love to have a Transmission Temp guage widow on the Gryphon. How is that coming along?
