Default Shifting problem

Bill I am still having shifting problems in all the different tune levels. Today on my tow tune it happened at 60K and was jumping about 500rpm in 4th gear.It used to happen at 30k in second gear. Again as soon as I let off the throttle it goes away and smooths out. Also TQ is not locked when this happens.

Any luck on the TQ monitoring suggestions? Just curious if that came up with anything.

Sounds to me like either:

A. That's what it's supposed to do when the TQ is unlocked.

B. Your sh!t's broke, man.

Does the TQ lock and unlock based on load, or it it unlocked all the time? The rpm surge you see is the difference in input vs. output rpm of your converter, which is normal. At cruise it should be locked in 4th gear. If it is unlocked all the time, you have a problem. If it locks and unlocks while you're driving...then it's working fine. Have you checked your tire size and gear ratio? That will make it shift like @$$ if those are off the mark. Need more details, brother.

For those of us who are metrically challenged, his speed was about 36 mph in good old "English" units. That's actually a pretty low speed to be seeing 4th gear (unless you have a fairly high gear ratio?). And, I'd suspect the TC was trying to make up it's mind whether or not to stay locked. If this is a typical cruising speed (around town), I think I'd try changing the TC lock/unlock points. It sounds to me like the TC is trying to lockup when the RPM is too low, then it finds there's not enough power, so it unlocks, and then it thinks things are ok so it locks, ....

Just my opinion, and I'm sure Bill has many better thoughts.
