How easy is it to shift with it? any way to move it back a little maybe ..?

Shifting is not a problem at all. the only restriction is you cant put a big cup like in the pic into the left side cup holder. if it were moved back then the arm rest would be to far back for me, as well as it is mounted in the factory holes so the alignment was kinda predetermined with the seat rail position.
