Default 03 Screw FX4 lean code

I'm getting lean codes on canned tow tune. I know this isn't right, but is there anything I can do other than not use it until I get custom tunes. I have the 5.4L, gotts mod, drop in k&n, and dual exhaust with a "H" pipe and flowmasters. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

Rob, I think you probably SHOULD set the tune to stock until you can get a custom tune to compensate for the H-pipe exhaust. I don't think the K&N filter is any problem, and neither is the Gotts intake mod, but the exhaust must be interfering with the fuel trims.

You MIGHT be OK using just the Level 1 tune though, since it effects only the transmission. I think I'd try that first.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to get custom tunes, but in the mean time, i was looking for a solution other than turning the Gryphon CTS into an expensive gauge. Is there anything that I can do, or am i just stuck until I get custom tunes?

As I said, try Level 1. That gives you a stock tuned engine and an improved transmission.
