Default Remote Start Install

Has anyone done a remote start install themselves? I had one installed on my black truck, but I pulled it out before I sold it, now I want to install it on my 2013 Mustang but I don't want to pay $350 to have someone else do it. Any tips? or is it worth the money to have someone else do the install? Thanks!

After installing mine, on a 2013 I'd say let them do it. You'll at least have some kind of warranty.

The problem is the place here costs $250 plus parts and I don't know if I trust them, and san antonio is 3 hours away, so going there and losing the car for 4-5 hours during the install is almost not an option... either way, are there any places you trust in the area?

We've got a place called Audio Outlet. I've never had them install anything but if I had to, it would probably be them. They cater to the mid-upper end markets so they'll probably be expensive but they have always been helpful.

Went to san antonio and got it installed, it cost more than I wanted, but I can tell that it was done right. On another note, What do you think of this filter design? AFE Pro-Dry S Air Filters
I just saw it and I would think that it would work better, flow more, than stock, while still filtering as much as stock.
Thanks for the input

88Racing actually got me hooked on the Amsoil dry filters. I forget the name but you won't miss them on the website.
