found the culprit of why i was not getting a wait to start and no check engine light it seems as if the plastic part of the icpr is loose the whole dang wire harness pig tail moves.Question is it possible to remove this off the back of the hpop without taking the fuel bowl assy off?and if not does anything else need to be taken off ?

You can just tighten the nut that holds that in place, without removing anything.

IIRC it is a 3/4 inch nut, but just tighten it enough to stop the solenoid from wobbling around, if you over tighten it you will ruin the nut and it will have to be replaced.

Good Luck

Default found and done almost

got the problem fixed it was a short in the wire harness.had the fuel bowl off anyway. Now I cant seem to get the front left hand side fuel fitting to seal the bowl builds pressure then the fitting leaks.was there any type of o ring on the nut side? Yes the lines are a bit corroded but not enough to make me feel uncomortable in keeping them on the truck.Any way to seal this connection with out replacing this line? as they are not fun replacing.

There is a square o-ring that seals the lines, the are called vibra-lok fittings.

Just head over to your nearest Ford or IH dealer and pick up a set.

No worries, that's what forums are for!

Spend some time playing around with the AE, you can really learn a bunch just poking around.
