Default Evolution CTS Diesel

I'm new to the forum, but I'm jumping in with a quick question. I have a 2006 6.0 Disel. The only Modification I have is a Banks exhaust system. I just ordered the Evolution CTS Diesel tuner by Edge.

1. Can I run the canned tunes with my Banks exhaust? Could I damage the motor by running the canned tunes with this exhaust?

2. I'm not looking for racing performance just some extra power for towing and having a little fun. Will I need a custom tune just because I have this one exhaust modification on the truck?

Thanks in advance

PHP sells the CS and CTS. With the 6.0 it would be best to update the FICM. Bill does a great job on this, I know because he did mine. If you ordered the CTS from someone else, Bill can upgrade you to custom tunes.

Thanks for the answer. Can I still run the canned tunes until I get the custom ones with a modified exhaust?

I would not be worried about running the canned tunes with Banks exhaust. Just don't hook up to anything more/heavier than you used to and mash the go pedal for minutes on end. Shouldn't be a problem if you drive reasonable. Modified exhaust is only going to help. With diesels, "custom" exhaust does not mean you need "custom" tunes.

What Thomas said.

The exhaust is only going to make the "canned" tunes work better on your diesel.
