You probably have a exhaust leak at your turbo y pipe. Pay the money and get the international pipes. I can send you a DIY link. I replaced mine with donuts and will have to do it again soon. The pipe wears out and not even a new donut will fix it. Take a look and see if you got any black around it. The pipe near the turbo was leaking. My exhaust was pulling on the turbo.

Welcome to Pocket's International UP-Pipe Replacement Web Page

Make sure you check out his main site he has a lot of DIY links for our truck. According to cleatus you won't here any leaks. You only leak under boost hence the high egts while towing etc. More and likely your going to leak from the upper y pipe connecting to your turbo. Take it from me don't waste your money and get the replacement seals get the international pipe. I will direct cleatus here so he can give his opinion.

How heavy is the trailer? What RPM are you running while the temps are that high? 4th gear or 3rd? Any hills?

Default Egt High

My trailer is about 9000LBS loaded.Going from a dead stop at the to end of first gear (3300 rpm) at 55mph it hits 1450 EGT.On a smaller hill on the highway in 3rd gear at 3200 rpm it hits 1425,i only run the truck with O.D off there are alot of hills on the way to the track.

Ohhh......its nothing about your issue, its just funny how I can about peg a 2k gauge in a matter of seconds (unloaded, on flat ground).

Sorry for the derail.
