Default FORD requiring ALL 6.4 owners to bring truck in

My buddy has an 08 King that was required to take his truck back in to the dealer recently for computer updating. His notice said that he could lose his warranty if he did not do this.

Being a recent PSD owner, I have found out recently that there are some options for him to install to his truck to improve performance and most needed economy. His milage is horrible. I had informed him of these options and he inquired if this recall had anyhting to do with this issue. He was informed that it sure was.

It sounds like Ford is cracking down even more with their warranty.

What is recommended by the community for him to look into going without voiding his warranty?

Any information is appreciated.

Mike

I'd like to see your sorce that "requires" ALL owners to bring in their trucks or Ford will void the warranty.
