Default Newbie.. be gentle

Well, i have posted over on F150online for quite awhile, and am looking at programers. I was looking at the Gryphon, but given the recent rash of problems, it seems that is not feasible. I am open to suggestions! I am here to learn...

Welcome to our happy band of .... ? As you know, PHP also sells the SCT X3, which would work on your truck. And, Corey recently posted that the "switch on the fly" chip would work on your truck too - but not on mine!

Yes, i am looking at the SCT X3... i don't think i saw a price for it, but i believe i heard it's cheaper slightly than the Gryphon...might be my alternative, unless Edge gets their cable problems fixed.

And i completely understand why Corey and Bill don't want to sell a faulty item.. i would be pretty unhappy if i waited for my programmer, then had nothing but problems and could not use it.

Welcome to the Forum! We're glad you're here!

Incidentally, Edge called us today and told us "they have an answer" about the cable issue. I'll keep you up to date!

In the meantime, we can offer you a 6-position switch-on-the-fly chip or the SCT X3 for the 97-03 F-150.

Thanks guys! I will keep my ears open for the fix on the cables. I kinda prefer the ability to monitor the truck systems, that's one big selling point of the Gryphon.

By the way Groovy Chic, my aunt and uncle don't live too far from you.. they live in Gainesville, Ga, right near the lake.. Beautiful country up there. One reason i moved from Tampa to Knoxville.. closer to the mountains...
