I guess I am a little confused Bill. I was under the impression that the ECM/FICM programming still had to be compatible with each other for the engine to run correctly. i.e. so that one would know the "address" of the other's programming. LOL--maybe I'm just I do know that the FICM is entirely responsible for the heating. I think I'll just give you a call later today and you can put an end to my confusion.

Thanks very much for your prompt reply

So is it possible to run the older TOW/HAUL TCM stragety that was a bit more agressive on each downshift?

I loved this on my '04 before they reflashed it.

I'd love to know this too, cause I have some older files I'd love to run that I'm told wouldn't work with the newer flashes.

It would be nice to have the 2-1 downshift and the constantly locked T/C, that the 03's and early 04's had, in the 05-07's. hint...hint...

One other question for Bill:

Will a FICM flash throw any kind of a compatability code if it's not done with the PCM?
