Default question on mods and tune

I was reading a article in a magazine that had a 2004 f150 4.6l 2v with a airaid intake and slp exhaust installed and had to have 2% fuel added at wot because it was to lean I was told the 2004 and up do need fuel added and the older trucks can have more mods before needing more fuel at wot My truck is a 1998 f150 with 4.6l v8 2v and has bbk shorty headers, dynomax muffler in place of the stock muffler, gotts mod, iceman intake tube and a edge programer and wanted to know if anyone has any experiace with a truck with similar mods and if so was it running lean at wot also would it be a good idea to add 2% fuel to match what was done in the article ?

the article has base line at 197 hp and 258.5 tq afr 12.2:1
with air box and tube 207.6 hp and 268.9 tq afr12.4:1
slp exhaust 205.9 hp and 262.2 tq and afr12.8:1
tune with 2% fuel 212.7 hp and 269.3 arf 12.3:1
thanks
