More to the point, how do you like the CTS? It'll be fun to see what Bill can do with the tunes in it.

Jims07Screw-Have you downloaded that software from edge for changing the splash screens and display? I'm curious what that can do on top of changing the splash screen. Since I dont have the color screen version I figured I wouldn't be able to get it to work without it.

It also looks like its roughly the same shape as the B/W version but it doesn't have those little curves. I bet it could fit into the current pod with a little bit of "modifying".

Longshot - I think you may be confusing the CS and the CTS. The CTS is a LOT bigger, and has to be mounted on the front of the pod with an adapter. It's not the most elegant mount in my opinion, but the capabilities of the unit probably make up for it.

The CS looks very much like the Evolution.

Colby,

Both the CS and CTS allow for taking a full color image (BMP, JPG) and setting it as the background for the device, which is really cool!

The CTS doesn't with the current pod (at least not in the same sense as the CS) but the CS does and it looks really nice.

Cool, I was just wondering about dimensions. I've found that if you start with the right size the picture doesn't get skewed or messed up.
For example, take this picture I made a while back:

On my computer it looks really crisp and clear but when I upload it the pixels get fudged a little making it lower quality. I guess its something about compressing and uncompressing. If the CS and CTS software can take any sized picture and make it fit then you might have the same issue.

Yeah... I'm not exactly sure what the scaling is but I'd basically assume 1/4 VGA (320x240). The image we used (Gryphon) actually came out really well on the display.

I can't wait to get these things on the shelves!

If you still have one to play with could you try putting this picture on and see how the menus show up? I drew it up based on that last picture you posted because that is the only square shot I've seen so far of the menu.

I'm kinda wanting a CS because I could make some really cool pics to match the blue neon in my truck. Right now I've got the grypon color scheme pretty close, but I figured out how to make a neon glow in my paint program a while back and would like to use that. I'm using the same method for a smaller fire design but that is still in the design improvement phase.

If you can send me a CS with my custom tune for testing (for an indefinite period of time) I'll make all the backgrounds you want.
