I am very new to this forum, so please dont get frustrated if I ask all these questions. Ive gone to php website and they only have the order form for the standard gryphon! Where can I order the Gryphon CS? How long is the whole process from ordering to arriving at my door step?

I wouldn't be surprised if your order took 6-8 weeks from the time you order to your door. Of course, that doesn't take into account other factors (CS is a brand new programmer, additional volume due to current promotion, complicated vehicle/mods combination requiring more time, etc, etc, etc)

The key is patience, because everyone that has PHP tunes says its worth the wait.

The programmer itself would arrive pretty quick, but you would still have to wait a while for the custom tunes. Right now you'd be getting the regular Edge CS/CTS and when the tunes are done you load them to the programmer using one of Edge's programs. I dont think that there is a "gryphon" version yet.

Right now Corey is saying that if you are DYING to order one, just put a note in the comments section of the order form. But if you can hold out, she is making progress on the new website.

I'm referring to the point that they are not changing the shells of the new ones. Yes program wise it is a gryphon, but it will still have the Edge exterior for now. You will also download the custom tunes through Edge's program instead of PHP's Pegasus. Perhaps I should have been more clear.

Oh right, the plastic casing. I think they would at least have to cover or remove the Edge logos... wasn't there something about not messing with the CARB certification of the Edge?

The casing is all the same. We are looking at having new bezels made, but the way everything works the bezels are not a problem. Because Edge is only a hardware provider, CARB/EPA regulations do not apply. The units will not be shipped with a CARB EO sticker and are not legal for use on vehicles registered in the state of California. The units clearly state this information on the boot screen every time you start the vehicle.

I thought if I were to order a gryphon or a gryphon cs, that php would order the unit and download all the custom tunes to it and all my mods so when it arrives i can just plug and go. Are you saying that I have to order the unit then download the custom tunes? Sorry I know alot about engines and trucks, just never delt with any programmer of any type!

Bill has to have your HEX code to build the custom tune/tunes. If your not upgrading a programmer that has already been in your truck then you wont have the HEX code to send him.

That is for upgrades only.
The unit will ship with canned tunes so you can get used to running the programmer.
The custom tunes will come later after you submit your Hex code. This code is needed for Bill to write the custom tunes.
