AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD YOUR CUSTOM TUNES, DO NOT PLUG YOUR PROGRAMMER BACK INTO FUSION, OR YOUR CUSTOM TUNES WILL BE ERASED!

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF YOU CONNECT TO FUSION FOR EDGE'S LATEST FIRMWARE UPDATE, YOU WILL ERASE YOUR CUSTOM TUNES!

Default Gryphon CS

Just so I understand correctly. If I have a new Gryphon CS with custom tunes, I should be using the Fusion software and not Pegasus.

Thanks

yep, you've got it. But I think for now you should not do any updates, there are still some bugs I think.

Not to threadjack, but I'm scheduled to get my CS today as a matter of fact. I had planned on running it right up to the computer and getting any and all updates I can find for fusion and the CS platform before I plug it into the truck... should I not do that?

Duskrider, if you don't have custom tunes on the CS yet, there is no problem in updating its firmware using Fusion. Simply install Fusion and establish a Fusion account. Then, connect your CS and Fusion should check for and apply any updates.

If you DO have custom tune on the CS though, the update process could replace them with canned tunes. That is clearly something you would not want to do.

Bill will get this squared away when he gets time, but for now, this is what I'm doing.

Thanks Jack. I don't have any Customs yet, they're in the queue I'm sure.

I was under the impression that custom tunes are emailed to us once Bill is finished with them. Wouldn't it then just be a matter of loading them back into the Gryphon from the original file if we do an update that replaces them with the canned tunes? I'd always wondered about that.

Now if UPS would quit their lollygagging and drop the thing off already I could stop lurking and start installing. lol

UPS is awful, aren't they? But, they DO "pick up" from PHP, which is why they are used. Corey and Bill wouldn't be able to do anything important if they were out mailing things all the time.

Bill will send a notification, probably by email that your tunes are ready and able to be downloaded through Fusion to your CS/CTS device. And, yes, Bill can certainly replace any incorrectly "removed" files, but I don't know how much work this is for him and it can cause confusion (and heartburn) on your part if your custom tunes are suddenly replaced. I'd simply like to avoid that issue if possible.

You'd better keep an eye out for the brown truck until a little after 8. Last week they tried to deliver my new muffler at 7:30 PM and realized I wasn't there at that time so they had to come back around 3:00 the next day.

Just got it! Now the fun begins.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't mind UPS really, just getting impatient was all.

I am one of those that the CTS went back to the Canned tunes. Do not use the Fusion software until Bill gets this problem fixed. The Canned Extreme tune is OK but nothing compared to Bill's Daily Driver.
