Default CTS ordered

I have a question on the routing of the cord. The side panel at the end of the dash, does it just pull off or do you have to pry it off a certain way?

Thanks

You just pull it off. I thought I was going to break a snap off of mine, but I didnt. They are in there pretty good. I just pulled slowly.

Thanks. It is a lot harder to pull off than I thought it would be.

Yes it will definitely make you think that you are gone to break it.

Lucky, my panel's clips actually started to break.
I just run the cable up along the trim. When it's fully installed you cant even tell its there besides the part that plugs into the OBDII port.

I suppose pulling the panel off a lot will put too much stress on the clips. Mine seem to be fine, and I've had the panel off many times. I just put my finger in the hole and pull straight out.

I bet you could find a good replacement in a junkyard, Longshot.

No, I never got mine off ever. When I was pulling it I heard a crack, got my flashlight and sure enough, one of the clips was halfway broken. I figured the trim would work just fine after that. I was going to look for a replacement but never got around to it. I've got it so well camoflaged you would never know it was there unless you looked at the truck's port.

If you ever decided that you want it behind the trim there is enough slack in the a pillar trim that you can slide the connector to the gryphon up through there with a little work. I did it that way at first when I was afraid I was gone to break the clips then I just decided to heck with it and snatched that cover off.

Yeah I did that and then I had to take everything out one time to go to a shop and just figured it wasn't worth worming it up again. But it is a good alternative if you dont want loops of cable under the dash.
I know, I'm lazy. Sue me.
