Happy Dancing Its Here!!! I got my CS with Tunes Today!!!!

I have been waiting for this day and its here. I got my PHP CS with custom tunes in my hands. I am so excited!

Being this is my first time to ever use a tuner on my truck, is there anything I should caution when installing it or are the directions pretty straight forward? Just don't want to lose my tunes or screw the truck up. Any little tips would be great.

Thanks
Jeff

Take your time when your putting in so you dont mess anything up. Also, dont make any "custom" adjustments for programming, at least not on the first time.

It's not too difficult.

I am asuming that with it being custom tuned and filling out the forms for bill everything would be changed and I shouldn;t have to touch a thing.

That is correct, but sometimes people want to adjust tire size and stuff.

Now it looks like the only thing you need to do is have fun with it.

I am sure they do. I don't plan on changing anything. I gave Bill my new tire size on the form. Its going to be a great weekend!!

Thanks again for your help!

And, the first time you program your truck, the on-screen directions MAY be a bit confusing. In my case it told me to turn my key ON, (but it was already ON) and then hit [Enter]. Then, I THINK it told me to turn the key OFF, ON, OFF and ON again before it was "happy".

But, other than that, things are very straightforward. Make sure your A/C, headlights and radio are off to minimize current draw on the battery during programming.

Read over the directions at lunch. Seems easier than I thought, just plug it in and go throught the steps on the screen and when its done change it to the tune you want. Bill did the hard part changing everything. Well worth the money if you ask me.

Thanks again

Trust me, it's VERY easy! And, it actually seems to program the PCM faster than the older Gryphon.

Yup, the KRs ARE pretty trucks aren't they?

If I were you, I'd program my truck when you get home tonight. That way, IF anything goes wrong, which I doubt, you can call Bill for help and you won't be stuck in the boonies. You don't even have to "mount" the programmer in the truck to do this, because it does NOT have to stay connected after programming. So, you could probably program the truck now (takes about 2 minutes), then mount the programmer later (takes maybe 15 minutes the first time you do it).
