Since the Gryphon CTS is a re-programed Evo, I assume the back-up cam is made by Edge also. And if you own a GryphonCTS and want to add the camera at a later date can you use one from Edge?

Yep, I think you may also be able to use any aftermarket camera because I think it uses regular RCA jacks.

Yes, to your question and what Longshot told you. My CTS has its custom tunes back and the camera works fine. Edge says any aftermarket camera will also work with the RCA jack feed.

The Edge camera is a very good unit, by the way. It functions extremely well at night as well as in the day.

So I don't want to open a new thred and my question fits here. So I have had a cts for about a month and the moniter has never changed over, so I figured that I needed to just add a camera. Well tonight I finally got a chance to teat this theory and hooked up a degital camera with a rca jack and it still didn't change. So is their something speacial that another camera would do?

Did the camera that you hooked up have its own power source?

I'll add to this.

If the camera you are connecting to the CTS is working properly, you will have a new "Backup Camera" menu item at the top of the list if you "open" the Menu screen. If either the video feed from the camera or the power supply to the camera is faulty, that menu item will not be there. In other words, the camera must be "on" and it must be actively transmitting a picture to the CTS for it to be recognized. Then, to actually "see" the picture, you must be in Reverse gear, or, you must have selected the Backup Camera option from the Menu screen.

Well I am going to geuss that the first camera I used wasnt sending a feed but I now have it working thanks for your help.
